The UNB Hockey program has had a rich tradition of excellence and development throughout the 100 year history. Never has this been more evident then the past three years when UNB has reached the National Championship final each year, winning two national championships in the process. Three players from that team have signed NHL contracts and upward of nine players will be at either NHL/AHL training camps this fall.

The upcoming 2009-10 season has great potential to be another exciting one for the program with sixteen returning players from the 2009 Championship squad along with a promising group of eight new freshman to the line up. UNB will have sixteen former captains on their 09-10 roster, top quality leadership which will greatly help UNB Hockey in their quest for another championship.
